Liankhanlun Ngaihte is an architect, urban designer, and environmental consultant with more than 18 years of experience in India. He obtained his B.Arch. degree(2005) from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, and completed his M.Sc(2010) in Environmental Management at the School of Design and Environment, NUS, Singapore.
Over the years, he has gained extensive professional experience in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design/planning. He is a passionate designer with a deep understanding of current urban demands, development issues, and environmental concerns in India.
His past experience includes working with Designplus Architecture Pvt Ltd, Morphogenesis, VijayGupta Architects, and Shinkai Constructions in Singapore on the Merlion Plaza redesign. Prior to starting his own firm, he worked on a wide range of commercial projects, including healthcare facilities, office spaces, public landscape projects, smart city projects, residential projects, group housing and townships, university master plans, and educational institutions. Notable projects include the DLF Twin Tower in Jasola, the DLF Okhla commercial complex, Amity University Jaipur Master Plan, The British School in Chanakyapuri, and several educational planning projects.
He founded Franklun Architecture in 2017 in Churachandpur, Manipur. Franklun Architecture is an ALDB firm with single-source responsibility for the design, construction, and commissioning of buildings. He has completed several residential projects, sports infrastructure, resorts, commercial buildings, and religious buildings. His sophisticated aesthetic sense, combined with his ability to effectively address stakeholders' concerns and collaborate with experts, allows him to develop elegant design solutions for complex architectural and urban problems. He is associated with the design and planning of the Evangelical Baptist Church in Vengnuam,New Lamka, Churachandpur, and the Tribal Heritage Village in Mata Mualtam, Churachandpur.
His recent projects include the residence for Dr. Jamchinthang, Esther Tombing’s residence at Bungmual, Vishal Mega Mart at Rengkai, and a mixed-use building project for Sekmai.
